Woodland
The Great Hyrule Forest is the strangest walk in the kingdom, and I mean that as a compliment. Fog sits permanently over the old growth, and the trees close in tight enough that the ordinary rules of 'just walk toward where you're going' stop applying. Somewhere in the middle of it is Korok Forest, which is exactly as it sounds — full of them.

Before you pack
Read these before you take the pack.
- Conditions
- Cool, damp, and dim under the canopy regardless of the season outside it. The fog thickens the deeper you go. Nothing dangerous about the weather itself, only about how easy it makes losing your sense of direction.
- Hazards
- The forest itself is the hazard, not the wildlife — wander off the marked path in the fog and you will find yourself walking in circles that feel like progress. Follow the lit route exactly. It exists for a reason, and that reason is you.
- Useful finds
- Mushrooms everywhere, more varieties than I bother cataloguing properly. Deep in the older growth there are herbs I genuinely cannot get anywhere else in Hyrule, foraged carefully and in small amounts because the forest doesn't restock on my schedule.

Woodland Fog Pack
Follow the lit path into the forest without improvising.
The forest itself is the hazard. Pip finds my lost sense of direction endlessly funny. Follow the lights.
- Silent Shroom ×240 rupees
Stealth helps when the fog makes every sound feel like company.
- Endura Shroom ×248 rupees
Extra stamina for the winding path that refuses to be a straight line.
- Apple ×224 rupees
Quiet food — you will be walking longer than the map admits.
Field reference
The longer notes, settlements, and shrines. When you know what to carry, shop the shelves or look it up in the Field Manual.
Route notes
Follow the lit path from the forest's edge and do not improvise. It winds more than it needs to, deliberately I suspect, but it always comes out the other side. If the lights ever go dark ahead of you, stop and wait rather than guess.
Merchant story
This is Pip's home ground, obviously, and the one place in Hyrule where I am unambiguously the visitor rather than the guide. I've been coming here for years and still can't navigate it without help. Pip finds this endlessly, deeply funny and has never once let me forget it.
