Meet Sorrel
Sorrel — Sor to the Koroks — spent years as a roadwarden, scouting trails, reading the weather, and getting tired travellers safely from one place to the next. They were never much of a warrior. Their real skill was preparation: knowing where shelter waited, which mushrooms turned up after rain, and how to avoid a fight before it started.
Somewhere along the way they stopped believing that arriving was the whole point. Now they run The Good Detour, a travelling apothecary and outfitter for people who want to experience Hyrule, not just survive it.
“You should go. And I want to help make sure you come back.”
How the shop came to be
It started with extra mushrooms. Someone heading into the cold looked hopelessly underpacked, so Sor handed over supplies from their own wagon. Then it happened again. And again. Eventually replacing everything they gave away got expensive, so they charged a few rupees, started tracking what got used, and brought more next time.
Sor still insists this is not a shop. Their Korok friend,Pip, made a sign anyway. The sign stayed.
Pip, for the record, maintains that they started the whole thing. Pip cannot be persuaded otherwise.
Ready for the road?
The story ends here; the packing does not. Pick a destination, open the bench, or browse the shelves.
