Ridgeland
Hyrule Ridge is open, grassy, and full of horses that answer to nobody — good highland country for anyone who wants to travel with a mount rather than on foot. There's a fairy fountain tucked into the hills that's worth the walk on its own, quite apart from anything practical it offers.

Before you pack
Read these before you take the pack.
- Conditions
- Comfortable and breezy most of the year, cooler once the elevation climbs. Grass stays green even when the lowlands are dry. Bring a layer for the evening wind, nothing heavier.
- Hazards
- A handful of monster camps scatter the lower ridge, more of a nuisance than a genuine threat if you keep your distance and pick your route with any care. Wild horses aren't a hazard exactly, but a startled herd will absolutely change your afternoon's plans.
- Useful finds
- Swift carrots and safflina both grow well up here, along with plenty of ordinary hyrule herbs. If you're after a horse, this is one of the better places in Hyrule to find and tame a good one — patience matters more than skill.

Route notes
Follow the ridge road rather than cutting across open grass — it's gentler on the legs and keeps you near the fairy fountain if you decide, as most people eventually do, that you want to stop there.
Merchant story
I spent a small fortune at that fountain once having my gear looked over, and Pip has never once let me forget the bill. Worth every rupee. I will not be taking further questions on the subject.
