Great Plateau
Until recently, nobody could reach the plateau at all — sheer cliffs and something stranger besides kept it sealed off for longer than anyone could explain. Now that the way's open, half of Hyrule's shrines send people paragliding straight off its edges into the wider world. It's the highest, most isolated stretch of land in the kingdom, holding old ruins, a frozen summit, and more history per square foot than almost anywhere else. I don't sell much for here specifically — you arrive with nothing, and that's rather the point.

Before you pack
Read these before you take the pack.
- Conditions
- Weather changes fast with the elevation. The lower slopes and old Temple of Time ruins stay mild, but Mount Hylia's summit is proper winter — driving snow, thin air, the kind of cold that punishes anyone without real protection. Plan for both extremes in the same afternoon.
- Hazards
- Nothing here should overwhelm someone paying attention — a handful of Bokoblins linger near the ruins, more startled than dangerous. The summit itself is the real test: exposure, not enemies. Turn back before your hands stop working properly.
- Useful finds
- Hyrule herbs and apples grow wild near the old temple grounds, and there's decent fishing in the plateau's small lake if you know where the fish gather. Nothing rare, but everything you need to eat well on your first night out.

Plateau First Steps
Survive the summit and the first long glide down.
You arrive with nothing — that is rather the point. This is the smallest kit I will pack for someone heading up before they jump.
- Spicy Pepper ×342 rupees
Mount Hylia is proper winter. Peppers first; arguments later.
- Apple ×336 rupees
Apples by the old temple — or from my crate, if you are already cold.

Route notes
There's only one reliable way down, and it isn't a road — it's a jump. Once you're equipped to paraglide, follow the ridgeline toward the lowest cliff face and trust the fabric. Everyone remembers that first jump. Most people grin the whole way down.
Merchant story
I'd heard about the plateau my whole career and never once managed to reach it — something about the cliffs refused every route I tried. The day the way finally opened, I went up like everyone else did: curious, and completely unprepared for how cold that summit really is. Pip beat me to the top, obviously, and has not stopped mentioning it since.
