Destination
Akkala
Akkala is Hyrule's quiet, rugged edge — forested highlands, old ruins tucked into the hills, and a town that exists purely because one stubborn builder refused to stop building it. Fewer travellers come this far, which suits the region and, honestly, suits me too on a slow week.

Before you pack
Read these before you take the pack.
- Conditions
- Cool and often foggy, sheltered from the worst weather by the highlands around it. Rain lingers longer here than in the open plains. Bring something warm for the evenings regardless of season.
- Hazards
- Remote enough that help is farther away than in most regions, so travel a little more carefully than you would elsewhere. Monster camps are scattered but manageable; the real risk is being under-supplied somewhere this far from a stable.
- Useful finds
- Good forest foraging — mushrooms, herbs, the occasional rare find in the old ruins that I'd rather document than sell. The growing town nearby is worth a visit purely to see what gets built there next.

Often found near here
Open one in the shop if Sorrel sells it, or in the Field Manual to read the record.
Field reference
The longer notes, settlements, and shrines. When you know what to carry, shop the shelves or look it up in the Field Manual.
Route notes
The roads in are longer than they look on a map, and less travelled, which means less traffic but also less help if something goes wrong. Carry more than you think you'll need. I always do, whatever Pip says about my pack weight.
Merchant story
I watched that little settlement grow from a single stubborn foundation to an actual town over several seasons of passing through, and it's one of my favourite things to witness slowly. Every trip out here, something's new. Pip insists on inspecting every building personally before approving of it.
